Last night I was restricted from multi player for teen settings restrictions, very odd since my console is set to adult. It actually blocked access to.

What does patch deliver? You will get an option in the Settings menu to change between the original audio from Halo: Combat Evolved, to the new audio from Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary edition. If you’re an old school Halo fan like me, you will enjoy that original audio. Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC is currently being readied to receive Halo 3 , finally bringing the highly acclaimed shooter to the platform. However, that’s not all PC players are receiving, with Industries detailing on its latest development update blog that quite a few fixes and new features are incoming to the package. There is good news for Halo: Reach fans, as it seems audio issues that have been plaguing the PC port, such as the muffled and static sounds, are finally getting fixed.
There is a highly detailed section on the development blog that dives into the massive amount of work that had gone into resolving these. For the first time, players will be able to change their visor colors as well as add skins to weapons and vehicles. This is optional, however, as there will be a toggle available in the options to disable seeing these Combat Evolved cosmetics and keep the legacy experience. There is a new season of cosmetic unlocks incoming as well, this time with new items for players to work towards.

Microsoft and developer Industries have released a new Halo MCC patch which offers various game improvements, fixes, and additional changes. The September Update for the Master Chief Collection on Xbox One is aimed to address several high-impact bug fixes reported by the Halo community, including regional matchmaking issues, exploit fixes, and quality of life improvements. Multiplayer bugs undercut the Master Chief Collection’s biggest launch yet
The release led to numerous bugs, issues, and oddities , and now developer Industries has posted an update that explains what’s being done to fix them. As of May 17 , said it conducted a “full day of testing” on the changes to address the issues, and the developer is seeing “good results” so far. An upcoming “hotfix” patch for The Master Chief Collection will feature fixes for two main issues. First, the hotfix will address a projectile bug in Halo 2 that caused various projectiles to not operate as intended.
The hotfix will also address issues with Halo 3 including rubber-banding, desycned vehicles, and missing effects.
Released on November 26, , this Content Update focused on addressing a number of matchmaking issues, fixing various bugs related to UI and the party.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection continues to have some issues linked to matchmaking, but the development team in charge of the video game at Industries claims that there are improvements to the overall experience and that more updates are already in the pipeline. In an official update , Dan Ayoub, the executive producer linked to the game, says that the most recent title update has managed to create a 20 percent increase in server connectivity.
The client side update, which focuses on Matchmaking performance, non-matchmaking bugs, and a variety of title-specific issues, has been completed and is going through testing and certification. It seems that Halo: The Master Chief Collection players will get access to it on Wednesday, November 19, as long as everything goes well. Even with those changes, Industries will continue to work on improving the matchmaking as much as possible, based on the feedback that the fan community is currently delivering.
At the moment, plenty of players are still reporting that they cannot get into a match and they are planning to ask for refunds if their problems are not addressed soon. A full update that is not related to matchmaking has also been delivered for the game, designed to eliminate problems with the campaign, the user interface and some party creation issues. The package launched on November 11 is a very ambitious one because it delivers updated versions of all four core titles in the franchise, designed to work well with the enhanced power of the Xbox One.

Cheating is when a player exploits a game using various methods, thus giving them an unfair advantage over other players. Though Bungie has released anti-cheat patches and protections for both Halo 2 and Halo 3 , cheating is still common in Halo 2. Standbying, also known as Lag Switching, was one of the first forms of cheating used in Halo 2. This cheat, which could only be performed by the connection host , involved players intentionally pressing the standby button on their modem , freezing the game for other players and giving the cheater s time to accomplish their objective.
Some cheaters also unplug their Ethernet cables. When the connection host presses their modem’s standby button, all other players on the host’s screen will continue moving in straight lines in the direction they were moving prior to the standby. When connection is re-established, the other players will resume control, but will have ‘teleported’ to their positions on the host’s screen.
When combined with killing, players will appear to die and respawn instantly. Standbying was heavily exploited by many players, and was quickly noticed by Bungie. Players that standby too often can be detected and banned from Matchmaking.
