Ah, college. A time of learning, personal growth, and, according to a new study, romance. Yup, you read that right. Despite the rep college campuses have for being all about hookups , a recent study from the Miriam Hospital’s Centers for Behavioral and Preventive Medicine found that college students aren’t actually hooking up as frequently as you might think. So, what are they doing instead? Actually having relationships. Researchers surveyed female college students about their freshman year sexual experiences and found that less than one in five women reported that they’d had a sexual hookup each month. And, while 40 percent reported that they’d had a hookup experience that first year of college, more than half said that they’d had oral sex or intercourse with someone who they’d consider a romantic partner. We don’t know about you, but from our college experience, being asked to hang out at some dude’s fraternity is considered a “date,” and getting a guy to define the relationship is a huge freaking deal.

Sexual intercourse began for Larkin, at the very latest, in the early nineteen-forties, with his teen-aged girlfriend, and continued at an energetic pace with a variety of women, including his secretary and the wife of a colleague—at one point, he shared his favors among three lovers—until he died, in his early sixties. But things really came to a head during the hometowns episode, in which Weber’s ex, Merissa Pence, who says she had mutual friends with Fuller, approached Weber and shared with him some rumors about Fuller—rumors that Fuller had played a role in breaking up other couples, among other things.

I’ve been out of the dating game for exactly 12 years, so maybe I’m not the best person to write about how to snag a man. However, during our recent trip to the Galapagos Islands , I observed the behaviors of various birds and something struck me: their mating habits reminded me of those dating advice columns I used to read in Cosmo.
